Jack and I decided to make cookies for everyone. He was a big help rolling out the dough. He actually did it by himself to begin with. He did a great job and only needed a little help.

Once we had the dough all rolled out, we used the heart cookie cutter and made lots of hearts!

I had a great time making cookies with him. I wish I would have taken pictures of the final product but I didn't. I am lame. I can't wait for St. Patty's day to make clovers!

Melissa's Grandpa!

RIP Jerome Joseph Claude Beau

Melissa's grandfather passed this week. It has been a trying month for everyone in the family. Since he lives in Boise, Idaho we have been traveling frequently. Grandpa was a Marine. Not just a Marine but a lifer! He was the national historian for the Marine Raiders! If you could see all the Marine paraphernalia in his house you would die. It will take months to clear out his house. It will be heart wrenching for Melissa. He was the back bone of the family and now that pressure will be put on Melissa. I know she can do it. She definitely has a lot of her grandfathers traits in her. She is strong and I know she can handle it!

As for all the other stuff in our lives.....things are going great. Jack is finally understanding that he lives here with us. He hasn't seen his mom in about 2 months. He talks to her on the phone and that seems to be okay on him.
