Lynsey The Wonder Student!

Life is still super busy! My best friend Lynsey graduated last Friday from The University Of Utah with her Masters Degree in Education. This is her 3rd degree in 3 years. I am amazed how dedicated she has been to her schooling. Great job Lyn! I am so proud of you!
As I said in my last post, Melissa, Melissa's mom and I bought Jack his own motorcycle. He absolutely loves it. He had to wait about 10 days to even get on it. We had to wait for his training wheels to be delivered. When they were delivered, it was all he could talk about. The night we brought it home, he gave it a hug and kiss before he went to bed. He is the cutest thing ever. Last weekend we took him out riding. He did really well!

Spinning his tires and kicking up dirt!
He only crashed 2 times. The first one he just kind of fell off of it. The second one he wasn't so lucky! He was going a little fast and hit some bumps. This time he went over the handle bars and the bike went flying over him. The look on his face right after it happened made me sad. It was almost like he thought he was going to be in trouble for crashing. I was worried he was hurt. He jumped right back up and said (while crying) "I just want to ride my bike". He got back on it and rode it a bit more. I think he thought we were going to take it away from him since he crashed. He is going to be our Super Cross rider! Watch out Cory Hart!

We are heading to the Dunes again this Friday. I can't wait to go ride my new Raptor! Watch for more photos!

Until I blog again, ROCK ON!

St. Patricks Day, Easter, Riding, Flowers = FUN!

I know I haven't blogged for a while. Life has been so busy. We have been doing so much.

I had some co-workers in from all over the world back in March. We hit a Jazz game. It was fun. After that, we went to some bar for St. Patrick's Day. We had a blast.
Wheels and Melissa at the bar

Easter weekend - We did our yearly trip to Moab. This year was much much better than last years.

Jack and his snowman (You ask how he made a snowman in Moab?)

Well, Melissa got the snow off the top of the motor home. It was snowing like mad the day we left Salt Lake. There was still snow on the motor home when we got there.Jack also had fun playing hacky sack with the adults. I am not sure how much the adults liked it though.

Last weekend - Little Sahara Dunes
We just bought me a 4 wheeler. I love it! We headed to the Dunes to have a good time on them. We had a blast. We went with some good friends, Ted, Alesha, Ryan, Phil, Danielle and Jordan.
Melissa and I on a rideJack and I on my new bikeJack also rode Ryan's PW50. He was so good at it. He instantly knew what he needed to do to get the "Batman Bike" to work. He knew how to turn the throttle and how to use both hand brakes. He just wanted "to go fast!". He did that!

Needless to say, Sunday night when we got home, Melissa went out and purchased the same bike for Jack. We are going to take it out riding this weekend. Jack is so excited. I am glad we have been able to give Jack the stuff I had when I was a kid. For him to experience the kind of things I did as a child is priceless. He makes the daily routine fun.

As for his plants that were doing so well; I transplanted them outside because they were starting to die in their little pots. Needless to say, they all died. We just went and bought some tomato plants! OOPS!

Plant Update

We just need it to get a little warmer so we can plant them outside. Jack is so excited for his plants. He said to them the other day, "Good job plants! Grow faster!" How cute is that?

Flower Update!

Today we planted some Bert & Ernie Peppers. Hopefully they will turn out as good as the others are starting to.

The melons are slowly appearing!
Tomatoes are out of control so far. Too bad I dislike them so much I would be okay if they banned them! Jack doesn't like them either. Melissa loves them so we are good.
Basking in some sun to help with the "green house" effect!

Spring is in the air!!!

Spring is for sure in the air! Jack and I planted some Elmo Tomatoes and some Cookie Monster Melons last week. Today I am sitting at work and get a phone call. It's Jack and he is so excited. He is going off about something and all I hear is "My pants are growing!" It took me a couple times of asking "what?" to understand what he was saying. "My PLANTS are growing!" He was so excited that his plants were growing. Here is what we have so far.

Elmo Tomatoes
Cookie Monster Melons

Unfortunately, the melons haven't sprouted just yet. Hopefully they will soon! Once they get a little bigger, we will transplant them out into the yard. At this point, I am not sure where we will put them. I am sure we will find somewhere. I can't wait for summer to get here!

Still moving on!

Wow I am not sure where to start. We headed to Boise on February 19th for Grandpa's funeral. It was a very short but sweet service.

This is Danielle, Melissa's sister. She has been living with us. She has also been a life saver for watching Jaxon during the day while we are at work. Since Melissa doesn't have custody of Jack yet, we don't want ot put him in day care. Once Melissa has custody we are going to get him into a day care/pre-school! I can't wait and either can Dan.

This was the chapel at the mortuary for Grandpa's funeral. They played the Marine Anthem while a video of Grandpa's life in pictures played. I was the one that made the video. I am rather proud of it.

Melissa has been super busy at work and I recently got promoted. Life seems to be very hectic lately. Hopefully once the custody thing is over we will have a little more calm in our lives.

Until I blog again, ROCK ON!

Valentines Cookies

Valentines Cookies
Jack and I decided to make cookies for everyone. He was a big help rolling out the dough. He actually did it by himself to begin with. He did a great job and only needed a little help.

Once we had the dough all rolled out, we used the heart cookie cutter and made lots of hearts!

I had a great time making cookies with him. I wish I would have taken pictures of the final product but I didn't. I am lame. I can't wait for St. Patty's day to make clovers!

Until I blog again, ROCK ON!
